At 33 weeks

How far along? 33 weeks. Seven short weeks to go before the gremlin arrives.

Total weight gain? Surprisingly 23lbs!  I visited the midwives on Monday (they moved the appointment a day early for some reason) I was very surprised to see a six pound weight gain in only 2 weeks.  Oh well, not much I can do about it!

Maternity clothes: I couldn't help it. I just ordered a few more things to take me to the end of the pregnancy. And I had to buy a cute dress for the baby shower, of course!

Stretch Marks? nothing new.

Sleep: Awesome.  I have been going to bed around 8:30/9 pm and sleep until 6am. I still get up to pee once during the night, but have been quickly falling back to sleep. I think that the evening baths and increased exercise have helped.  Yesterday my mother and our dogs went for a snowshoe walk in the woods and we were out for about an hour or more... which tired me out perfectly.

Best moment of the week? Listening to the baby's heartbeat and having the midwife identify that she is head down. The babe still leans more to the right and the midwife suggested that I start doing some yoga and other exercises to help move the baby around a little.  And because of my husband's work schedule, the midwife suggested that I start taking primrose oil tablets at 36 weeks to help soften my cervix (which could speed up labor when the time is ready, but in no way does it induce labor,  regardless of what the crazy pregnant ladies on the internet say) and also suggested I start drinking raspberry leaf tea at 34 weeks to help prepare the uterus for labor (and I have had some previously, it is yummy!).

Miss anything? Wine with my Downton Abbey.

Movement: Yes, the baby girl is quite active.  If she pushes on my belly and I push back, it tends to make her move more, which I think is great. I am probably denting her head or something, but I think it's pretty entertaining.

Food cravings? All of it.

Gender: GIRL

Name? back to square one

Anything make you queasy or sick? nope

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, hunger, sleepiness, achy back, nesting

Exercise: Yes! I walked on the treadmill several times this week, did some yoga, and went snowshoeing with my mom. Yay!

Mood: Pretty good this week. I snuck some caffeinated tea into my tea pot, which greatly improved my mood and I am sure my co-workers were happy.

Labor signs? nope!

Fears: nothing right now.  I'm feeling good about everything.  Slowly all of the pregnant ladies on Facebook are having their babies..., I feel like I am part of a large, weird, internet baby-birthing count down.

Looking forward to? Enjoying vacation. So much to do! I have completed 16 baby diapers (8 more to go) and look forward to cleaning the house. Also, the baby shower is in one week, hurray!

happy sunday!
